On Monday I went golfing with three other guys from the church. We played at Auman Timbers in Dover. It was interesting! The course wasn’t in very good shape, but the scenery was unbelievable. I’ve posted a few pictures below (click on pictures to enlarge). They really don’t do it justice. If you’re a golfer, check it out sometime. It was only $22 to ride 18. You don’t want to walk. You’d die! There are lots of hills. Actually, riding the cart was more fun than the golf!

Another highlight from our trip to North Carolina was touring Biltmore Estates. It was unbelievable! I’m hoping this is similar to what Jesus is preparing for me right now (see John 14:2-3). There was a room for everything. Five floors total with a basement! In the basement there was a bowling alley and swimming pool. The outside was incredible too. Beautiful gardens and views! Below are a few pictures we took.

Beth and I attended the NACC Minister & Spouse Retreat this week in Ridgecrest, NC. It was held at the LifeWay Ridgecrest Conference Center. What a place! One of the highlights of the retreat was Mark Lowry. He was hilarious! We got to meet him after the concert (see picture above).

My favorite part of the concert, joking aside, was when Lowry sang “Mary, Did You Know?” He wrote the song back in 1984. It was powerful! “This sleeping child you’re holding is the great I AM…” Wow!

Our staff got together last night. We had a blast playing iMAgiNiff. Have you ever played? We enjoyed picking on Tom most of all. Imagine that!

Each player or team (couples in our case) makes a calculated guess as to what Tom would be. The goal is to pick what you think everyone else is going to pick, not necessarily the one you think is true. Anyway, it’s a fun game! I’m not sure it was the greatest “team building” experience. For one of the questions I answered that Tom was most like a “dusty weight bench.” That hurts. Sorry Tom! (I don’t really think that. I just thought everyone else would say that too.)

I won’t tell you what Tom said about Scott. Wow! Does anyone know any political quotes by Gerald Ford? (Inside joke. Sorry!)

So, if Tom were a flying object what would he be? Tom would love to hear from you…and so would I.
